In 2007, Sino-Singaporean Cooperative Suzhou Industrial Park implemented GDP of USD 83.6 billion, GDP per capita up to USD 36 thousand, equivalent to 3 times of average level in Suzhou and 8 times of Jiangsu Province, close to Singapore level. It is the largest economic cooperation project between China and Singaporean governments, becoming one of the development zones with rapidest development speed and most competitive strength globally.¡£
Suzhou Industrial Park, located the side of Jinji Lake at the east of Suzhou, with administrative division area of 260 sq.km, has four towns, with population of 230 thousand. Where, planned area for Sino-Singapore cooperative zone is 70 sq.km. Purpose of the park: to build a high-tech industrial park with international competitive strength, and establish a modern and international new garden district. |
